Polypropylene thermally bonded, acetone resistant core. Made from 22mm pile pale cream polyester fibres knitted into its backing.

Because long pile polyester fibres are in themselves less strong than nylons they can be knitted but not woven.  The knitting fixes the fibres less securely than weaving, so some fibre loss is to be expected.  The manufactures try to eliminate the effect of fibre loss by producing the fabric only in pale cream to help minimise the visual impact of any loose fibres in the finished work.
