High strength silicone mould making rubber. Our silicone has been formulated for easy mixing by hand, with colour coded components (red or green) giving a visual aid to ensure mixing is adequate. The two components mix easily and because of the low viscosity most grades can be used without processing in a vacuum chamber. This silicone is suited for the detailed reproduction of figures, art objects and similar items.
FC6600 / FC6620 / FC6630 / FC6666 Polyurethane resins are not suitable to be used with condensation cure silicone, these resins must be used with addition cure silicone mould making rubber, any other polyurethane resin that the model number is not listed above will be fine to use with the GP-3481-F silicone.
Outstanding release properties
High Flowabilty and long woring time
High tear resistance
High elasticity for easy removal of complex replica parts
Can be made thixotropic (non flowable) for vertical surface replication
Cured Properties of MBFG Silicone
- Red silicone catalyst is by far the most popular catalyst to use with the GP-3481-F silicone, it gives great air release with longer working and demould times.
- Clear catalyst is used when pigments are required, when mixing pigments into a white silicone base it can result in lighter shades of the colour intended. e.g black pigment will become grey / dark grey.
- Green silicone catalyst is used when time is off importance, it will cure a lot quicker roughly in half the time, but this will not give as good of air release as the red fast set catalyst.
NOTE - When using clear catalyst, best to double mix the silicone and catalyst because it is very hard to see if the catalyst has fully mixed through, so a double mix is advised.

Please note this silicone is not suitable for food use. It is also not suitable for direct use on skin.
Base and catalyst use universal containers for various kit sizes and are supplied by weight, while the supplied containers may not be full, they will contain the correct amount of both base and hardener according to the listing. At point of packaging and dispatch lids may be taped to prevent damage or spillage during transportation.
