Polycraft 240 Liquid Wax Release System

Polycraft 240 Liquid Wax Release is a versatile general purpose release agent which comprises of a blend of waxes dispersed in an aliphatic solvent.

Applications

Can be used to release a variety of mould types, typical casting materials such as polyurethane epoxy acrylic and polyester.

Polycraft 240 Liquid Wax is free of CFC and HCFC.

Used extensively for moulding flexible semi-rigid and rigid polyurethane foams and has been formulated for high quality general purpose moulding at temperatures from ambient to 80°C.

Liquid Wax Release may be used where a silicone release agent is undesirable such as when the moulded part needs to be painted or bonded.

Also be used as a sealant for wood stone cement and other porous surfaces prior to moulding. Highly porous surfaces must be tested for suitability.

This material can be applied by airless or air assisted spray gun or by brushing or wiping. However brushing or wiping will leave marks in the release agent film which will be reproduced on the surface of the moulding.

This is only cosmetic and the physical properties of the moulded part are unaffected. The application of a number of light coats is preferable to one heavy coat. Light coats allow the solvent to dry more rapidly and improves the surface finish.
